ISSUE 01 QUEEN’S BIRTHDAY SPECIAL
WEEKLY – NICHOLAS
last week at St Nicholas, all of the pupils were celebrating the Queen’s birthday by dressing up in red, white and blue whilst enjoying fun activities for everyone to join in with!
Reception children have been busy learning a song and creating crowns, bunting, a red carpet and a throne! We were lucky enough to have their song sung to us. The Queen even cared to visit, much to the excitement of everyone!
Year 1 have also been busy making biscuits and crowns as well as writing recipes and making a birthday cake for the Queen.
Year 2 have been just as busy and have made invitations, recipes and have researched facts about the Queen.
Now moving to Key Stage 2, Years 3 and 4 have been making bunting, flags, decorating the field, learning the national anthem, enjoying arts and craft and making cakes.
Year 5 and 6 created place mats to eat their cakes and biscuits off and took part in activities throughout the afternoon.
Everyone enjoyed a tea party to celebrate the Queen’s party!
